All discussions related to GMAT coaching institutes their products & reviews go to lounge!
Thanks for informing us about it though...
It's a blog; a compilation of RSS feeds. It seems that they do not produce their own content... I'll investigate...

Thanks for the heads up. Not quite sure what this blog is meant to do. These all do appear to be BTG posts...

IIRC, this used to be an old trick to have Google search engine relate everything GMAT with a particular web-site. As it scans through the site, Google will see a lot of GMAT related Qs on that site and will eventually start to associate that site with GMAT related search times.
However, and here's the fun part, Google quickly figured out the problem behind this. This site's going to get hit with Google's penalty for duplicate content. They have very little, if any, original content. There's some CAT content but i'm not sure what's the point of this site.
The site creator hasnt broken any rules since BtG does have RSS feeds going out for every sub-section.

You can use ^script^ and add RSS feeds on your blogs. In fact blog service providers (blogspot, wordpress etc) promote such pluggins. This way you simply share the content but do not import it as in copying-n-pasting. And content doesnt get hosted in your website. Thus search engine bots dont relate what-human-can-see-on-website to their search results, simply because they dont recognise it. Something similar to embedding a youtube video or scribd docs. (You dont own it but still you can have it on website: using the ^script^)Neo2000 wrote: The site creator hasnt broken any rules since BtG does have RSS feeds going out for every sub-section.
If you want content to be on your website and have search engines read it, you can add 2/3 lines of full article (excerpt?), review it, add your own opinion and provide a link to the original article.
BUT, BUT, BUT! You cannot copy-n-paste entire content from a site! That's clearly copyright infringement.

thanks for the heads up guys. i'm going to change the rss feeds so that we only share the excerpt from each article via rss feed. i've been meaning to do this for a while but this site's practices has provided additional urgency.

wow! & when I search <blogsearch.google.com> for GMAT queries I dont get results from BTG <beatthegmat.com> but I do get results from those <https://greschool.com> who copy the its content.
This site for instance is using the method I mentioned in my last post (instead of literally copy-pasting)
Or get more results (not trying to impress Dana btw ) https://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch ... arch+Blogs
