Hi Sir,
I have a doubt regarding undergrad school and score for mba program's abroad when it comes to Indian applicants. I have heard that IIT undergrads have more of a shot when it comes to top 10 mba programs.
My doubt is with respect to NIT undergrads which happens to come just below IITs. How far does it concern the adcoms when it comes to an NIT undergrad. Suppose an NIT undergrad has taken an IIT masters in a non tech field such as Operations or Finance as a career change, would that make a difference as per the top 10 programs.
Hope to see your reply on this...

The better the academic "Pedigree" the better one's chances are at top schools. But the factors which go into the admissions decision are widespread and non-formulaic, so there are certainly cases where graduates of "lesser" schools have beaten out graduates of "better" schools. Certainly your MS would help give your profile a boost, yes.
