Hi Vikas,

We do not have in-person tutoring in Newark, but we do have in-person tutoring in New York City. We also have the option of live online tutoring, where you would be meeting with your instructor through an online classroom platform. This is a good option for you to save time as you can be tutored from home (leaving more time for your career/family/love-life!)

If you were interested in either of these options, I would suggest checking out our private tutoring page: https://www.manhattangmat.com/gmat-prep-tutoring.cfm. If you click the red "sign me up" button you will be taken to a form where you fill out information like when you want to take the test, how much studying you've already done, etc. Once you've submitted that form somebody from our Student Services department will get in touch with you to talk about tutoring.

Alternately, if you want to talk more about your options, you can just give us a call at 1-800-576-4628.

Thank you, Caitlin for replying (very prompt!} Not to offend, but is Mr. Dinerstein not posting? In the main I would want to know if HE has advice for novicetype. I would be interested in consultation and expense is not the object. I see he is the online manager, not an assosciate (sorry!). My background is good at the math and computing too and a man as seeming his caliber could help me, I think actually. It is not to far to Newark and I could allow for a trainride expense for Mr. Dinerstein to come to advise?

Hi Vikas,

I have taken over the forum duties here from Michael Dinerstein, but rest assured that I can help you with any questions you have regarding Manhattan GMAT or more general questions about studying for the GMAT.

In terms of inviting Mike to Newark, as a Marketing Manager, Mike is not the best person with whom to discuss your studying. We do have a host of very qualified instructors who would be able to answer your questions in much more detail. You can read their bios here: https://www.manhattangmat.com/gmat-prepa ... -tutor.cfm Should you wish to have some private tutoring with them, please fill out the form I mentioned above, or give us a call.

Again I am thankful for prompt replying, but the replying is not exactly to satisfaction. I have studied the forums here and noticed that Mr. Dinerstein is always most helpful, whether his job is to do so or contrary. Also I see that your joing of the forum was just YESTERDAY (not offending!). Mr. Dinerstein is over ONE YEAR. I am hoping to speak with him about a personal consultation (I have even offered PATH ticket, maybe dinner??? what else?). His last post was only a week plus previously! I looked all over the website and cannot find his personal e-mail or else i wouldnot waste time here. Could it be I waited a little too long to ask him a question and now cannot ever?

Hi Vikas,

Not to worry. I'll step out of retirement and back into the forums here at Beat the GMAT to help get you set up. To be honest, it feels pretty good to be back even though I was gone for just a week! I'll be checking in more from time to time in the future, though, so this won't be the last you'll hear from me.

As for providing you with some help, I unfortunately don't work at Manhattan GMAT as a tutor, so I wouldn't be able to come out to Jersey for a one-on-one consultation. However, I'd be glad to speak with you over the phone. Can you e-mail me at [email protected] and we'll set up a time to talk in the near future?

Also, just to reiterate: even though I'm not here, it doesn't mean you won't get help. Caitlin is fantastic when it comes to handling Student Services requests. It's why she was chosen for the job!

I hope this helps. Take care and good luck!

Best,
