this question test parallel structure + sentence structure

Only D has correct comparison:
membanes ...... attached to a cartilage rather than at wrist.
Also structire X differ from Y because.
It willbe better to say in what are the differencies? In that that X ...
so in that they are is good

what i know

because and In that can be used interchangeably but having said so...

Because used when we are showing cause effect relationship

I could not study, because i was not well.

In the above sentence we are showing some contrast...
they differ How ?

In that is used when we use to highlight some contrast...
