Hey,

I am from the PythaGURUS team and I’m SUPER EXCITED to share with you Alisha’s success story – Something we are VERY VERY proud of :)

She won 4.6 crores of scholarships along with 7 top tier admits!

Would definitely want you to read something that Alisha shared with us:

“So, in total I've gotten two full waivers. I have around 4.6 crores of scholarship in total.

I'm really thankful, you know, more than proud. I'm really thankful because for the past one and a half years, it's just been one step after the other. First, you know, exam preparation, then finding consultants, starting on the resumes, the interviews. And now I feel like, you know, this is the culmination and I'm super happy.

I would like to say about the first one-on-one that I had with Jatin, right. Until then I was not totally sure if I will be joining Pythagurus or not. But there was this one thing that Jatin had told me, “ See, I will call a spade a spade. I will tell you what will work, what will not. And there will be times that you will feel that I'll be rude and harsh. And if it does not work for you, then maybe this is not a good fit.” And I'll be honest, that was when I was like, yeah, like. Jatin Bhandari is the one who I will be working with because at that point I knew that because at the core, I am also that person. I do not mince words. I like being told where I'm going wrong, where I'm going, right. I do not like beating around the bush. And I knew whatever comes my way, you will not just say ‘Okay, fine. Okay, fine. Whatever you want’, you will never do that. You will tell me to my face, this is NOT WORKING. You need to do something else.

And I think that’s what worked for me.

Having been there for the past two years, right? There are two things that I would like to say.(To MBA Aspirants) Firstly, when you go on these forums and blogs and you talk to a lot of people, right? It's very daunting when you see profiles of other candidates, people who have taken sabbaticals, gone to South Africa, done a year internship somewhere, built libraries, Schools, stuff like that..backpacking!

And this was one thing that they put across you also, that I see that I'm internationally experienced, that point of mine is very weak. How will I stand (out), you know, in this crowd, but I realized that what works for some people is not necessarily something that will work for another.

Also, You need to find your unique voice and you need to just be genuine. This is one thing. And the second thing is that when I was writing my essays, preparing for interviews. I was genuinely not thinking from the point of getting a scholarship because I thought that would put undue pressure on me.

And I think that is where, you know, you buckle under the whole pressure and you just stumble during the process. So I just thought I will give my best and let them see what I have been through in the past three, four years of my life. If they like it well and good, if they don't, maybe there are other deserving candidates.

I cannot hold it against the school. So, I think that kind of maturity, if you bring in your outlook, it will not be that much pressure and you know you will get the best fit for you. It is finding the best fit. It is not about, you know, when I started I was thinking I will apply to Sloan and Chicago booth and stuff like that.

And Jatin had told me also very clearly that these schools were a far fetch for me. These sets of schools are realistic and these schools are those you can still try for. Okay. So you need to be realistic. Firstly, in your goals, know your limitations and you know how much you can go for. So, yeah, I think these things work for me and I would like to tell others the same”
