I took the GMAT today and got a score of 600 (Q44 and V28).I couldn't find any particular reason for the low score. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Updated based on questions:
Following are my scores in practice exams: GMAT PREP 1 - 480 (Q38 and v19) GMAT PREP Retake - 620 (Q47 and V28) GMAT PREP 2 - 560 (Q40 and V27).
I'm using MGMAT books for my preparation.
I would like to apply to schools both in India and outside.
Also sentence correction and reading comprehension are my weak areas but I could not improve on that.
I got beaten by GMAT..need help!

Hi my friend,
First of all, considering the score, neither you beat the GMAT nor GMAT beat you. It was kinda neutral
If you can provide more details upon your prep plan prior to taking the test, you likely to get some suggestions on preparing yourself for the test.

Have you taken any practice tests to see where your weaknesses in the verbal section are? That would be of great benefit to you in finding where you should focus if you plan to resit and raise your score. Though a 600 is by no means a bad score! You are still above average for the test which is excellent for most schools! Good luck!

Hi nirmal1571,
If you can answer a few questions, then It will be easier to assess your situation:
1) What is your score goal?
2) What were you scoring on your practice CATs (include the Scaled Scores for the Quant and Verbal sections)?
3) Where do you want to apply to school?
4) When do you want to apply?

Thanks for the reply Rich. My target school's round 2 deadline is Jan 31, so I need to complete my retake by Jan 15.
