MGMAT CAT algorithm please help explain

by siownschu » Mon Feb 23, 2009 10:14 pm
i recently took my 2nd MGMAT CAT with an unfavorable score.

I noticed the MGMAT CAT verbal algorithm gave me weird "result"

the 1st 11 questions started from a easy to 10 700-800 level questions in a row, which i received mostly right and few wrong.. the rest of the test averaged out with 600-700 type questions.

towards the end of the exam the CAT gave me 2 700-800 questions which i was incorrect on and then it assessed me at a 500-600 level.. can someone help to explain??

my verbal score was a 32 on the CAT

Moving this post to the 'Ask a Manhattan GMAT representative' area. Someone from the company should help you out with this question.

Good luck!

Hi Siownschu-

That does sound odd. Would you mind letting me know your MGMAT username so that I can look at the specifics of the exam? Feel free to email me directly at [email protected] to get that to me. Once I have the details, I'll be happy to discuss what happened with you.

Best,
