The philosophy SJ lives by is there is no alternative to hard work. Success comes to those who work for it diligently. Dedicated to anything that she puts her hands on, she is not done till she is done. Her commitment speaks for itself in the outcome of every endeavor she undertakes, be it a professional project or a personal chore.
SJ is a gold medalist from Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Indias topmost institute for journalism that is more selective than Harvard Business School. She scored better than 99.5 percentile in the entrance exam, and is the very definition of the term child prodigy.
She worked as staff reporter and a sub-editor at Hindustan Times (HT) Indias premier daily. She led various sections in HT City, including party pages, books, arts and the culinary section. A fluent speaker in Hindi, Bengali, and English, she has also been a news anchor for local channels.
SJ joined e-GMAT on August 15, 2011 and single-handedly built the first product OG Verbal SC Solutions within the next 4 months. During this time, she also gained the status of most thanked expert on Beat The GMAT and GMAT Club. She has authored more articles on GMAT Sentence Correction and GMAT Reading Comprehension than any other expert.
In her words, she did not realize her creativity as an e-learning expert till she started creating contents for e-GMAT. She makes every presentation, be it a concept or a promotional audio-visual for e-GMAT, a visual treat. Creating e-learning content has now become a passion, she says.
When not working on visual treats, SJ puts on her apron and prepares culinary delights for her husband. Music is her passion she cannot spend a day without. An amazing dancer, SJ actually regrets leaving her Bharatnatyam training just after six months. But an incurable optimist, she believes that she will finish her training in this lifetime.
