MBA from Europe

by varunm » Fri Feb 19, 2016 8:12 am
Hi,
I am from India, currently working in an IT sector and would like to pursue my MBA in Marketing. I was told by some alumni to not to pursue my MBA from Europe.
Request you to help me with the following information-

1) I want to know your perspective regarding the MBA education from Europe(such as ESADE, IE, EDHEC), the future job prospects(both in India and abroad) once I complete my MBA there and the on-campus placements.

2) Also how well is an MBA from Europe recognized both in India and abroad.

3) What's the average salary of students working in India after completing their MBA from Europe.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi there,

Well I would say first of all you cannot really lump all 'MBAs from Europe', just as you cannot lump all 'MBAs from the US' or from India etc together... there is a ton of variance and tons of programs, so salaries, length of program, experience, recruiting etc all vary. The Financial Times Global MBA Ranking is a great place to start to see how specific programs are globally-perceived, as well as some salary stats. Then you can research by school, look at employment stats etc, much is available on websites and you can reach out to careers services for more questions and just ask them what you would like to know for their specific school. Certainly many of the top European programs are globally-renowned so a fabulous option, and I personally have an MBA from Europe (Cambridge) and can't say enough good things about it. ;) Good luck in your decisions!
