^^ I have this book by Nedda Gilbert. I found it very useful.
I am rather good at writing essays, but I aways need an initial push - where to start the essay, and what shall I start with.
Browsing through the essays in this book gave me a good what I should write and how. I almot felt inspired after reading some of the essays. So, my personal opinion, it's a very good help! :)

Hey guys,
I liked the "800 score AWA" guide.
Also you can check out "GMAT-CAT Answers to The Real Essay Questions ". It is available for a price of Rs. 895.
The book is divided into 3 parts:-
1)Getting Ready for GMAT Essays
2)Sample Responses to the Real Analysis-of-an-Issue Questions
3)Sample Responses to the Real Analysis-of-an-Arguement Questions

You can write ur essay response and then compare it with the sample responses.
It is very beneficial that way to point out your errors.
It takes time and effort to explain, so if my comment helped you please press Thanks button :)

Hi Aman,

I would like to second money9111's suggestion. I have read the 65 Successful Harvard Business school essays and found it to be a gem of a book. It has many essays and will give you an idea of the quality of essays that the adcoms are starting to expect.

You might also want to try Richard Montauk's How to get into the top MBA programs. This book is considered as the Bible of B-school application as it provides a wealth of information and also many sample essays from successful applications.

My deepest gratitude to hk. Yes, I have bought copies of both the books you just mentioned and so far my impression is : they are indeed the best , the Richard Montauk's book provides valuable examples of rcommendation letters, actual essays, critical analysis of the essays . Fantastic books indeed !!
