I am picking C here. thetrystero, how can u say that researchers are acting in favor of oil companies. It is nowhere mentioned in the passage. The simple enough reason for not changing motor oil is that it will cause same extent of damage as does fresh engine oil, so there is no point replacing 3000 miles old oil.
