Manhattan Self-Study Prep review??

by ScottD » Tue Jul 13, 2010 6:37 am
Hello!

Due to a crazy schedule, I am forced to study solo or pay a hell of a lot of money for private tutoring. I've considered the Manhattan GMAT self study prep guide. Has anyone used this package? If so, how effective was it? Were the class recordings of good quality and helpful?

Thanks in advance :)

Sorry no one has responded to you. I can not tell you anything the Self Study. I have the Manhattan books that I am using to study. I am currently working on the Sentence Correction. I have also completed the first two books of the math. I feel confident with the foundation that MGMAT provides. I have already improved in sentence correction and I am only on chapter 4. I am sure the self study will help you reach your goals
.
Just getting started!!

I haven't used the product myself, but I've heard very good things about this self-study package.

Hello there,

I can actually be of help on this one. Surprising, but true!

I took the Manhattan GMAT course. I must say that I did not score the best. It was not the fault of the course - it was me. I let the stress of a very bad situation in my personal life overshadow my studies.

I digress...

The class recordings are quite helpful. What you may also enjoy are the recordings of the various sections...such as SC and Reading Comp. They provide slides and verbal instruction on how to study for these particular sections.

Hope that helps!

How were you able to track your progress with the books? I mean how to measure and see if these books are of help or not?

Please respond.

Thanks, Piyush
