Manhattan GMAT Fourth Edition Books

by Icemastr » Mon Oct 21, 2013 6:27 am
I studied for the GMAT several years ago and now I am going to retake it so I am studying again. I have the complete set of fourth edition Manhattan GMAT guides.

I no longer see the exact same books: Word Translations and Equations, Inequalities, & VIC's in the fifth edition series. How do these relate to the fifth edition guides and are there any reasons I should consider using the fifth edition guides instead?

Hi Icemastr,

The content contained in the 4th and 5th editions is the same, with the exception of IR strategy (IR is the only thing that has changed on the GMAT, so it's the only new content in the guides). The only real changes are in the ordering and structuring of different topics:
Word Translations is now called Word Problems
Equations, Inequalities, & VIC's is now Algebra (a much more logical name!)
exponents are listed in the Algebra guide rather than the Number Properties guide

These changes are all cosmetic. You'll certainly get all the content information you need from using the 4th edition guides. If you have any questions, please email [email protected]
