HI,
i just wrote my gmat and scored a 520 ... at first i could not belive the computer screen because this was way way below i had ever imagined i did not know anyone in person who had ever scored below 600......... i felt destroyed completely ......... i could not get out of this trauma (this is not an exaggeration) for next 24 hours .......... but now i have recollected myself and have said ...... SO what i will not let this one figure shatter my dreams and aspirations.............. i will beat it this time and beat it hard.. i will thrash the way it has ditched me and insulted me with this cheap score ....... that’s why i will beat the GMAT ...... GMAT - I WILL BE BACK
in my first Gprep test i got a 630 .... was shaky start but i did few work around and was hovering around 650-660 range ...... i kept on hitting 48-49 in quant and 30-31 in verbal....... not good
faults identified --
- taking it really easy in last 8-9 days: got rusty
- lack of analysis in verbal : repeated the same mistakes many times
well i am gathering spilled beans here ......... any suggestions/guidance will be greatly appreciated
PS: Sorry for being little rude and loud here, its just that i have received very few such setbacks in my life........
Lost dignity have no face - 520 ........ BUT i Will Be Back

Yooo bro, go beat the GMAT and I believe you can do it.
I have similar condition now, it's 6 days before my test, and I am side-tracked and not studying hard because of relationship problems. It took me a very long time preparing for this test and it's hard to gather myself back at this moment. My plan for the last couple days is to take some more tests and see what I score right now. My quan and verbal score are close to yours, and I have to admit that verbal is my nemesis. Try to be more relaxed prior to test, I think the GMAC people is testing our mind rather than testing our GMAT analytical skills. I believe you can do it with a good studying plan
At the end, just want to let you know you are not alone and we are a;; here with you. Let's study hard and beat the GMAT!

Yes it can be done. YOu obviously have the ability now you need to get the right mental attitude. Sounds weird but true. Forget about what happened in the last test.
Find out your weakness and keep working at them. Do a course if necessary - I would recommend MGMAT.
Becoming overconfident will make sure you get a low score. Being low in confidence means you will defeat yourself. You have to find the middle ground.
