Decide which of the given conclusions, logically follow from the given statements.

Q1) Statement: Some tenders are passbooks. All expressions are quotations. All quotations are tenders.
Conclusion: I. All expressions are tenders.
II.Some tenders are quotations.
III.Some quotations are expressions.
1)Only I follows 2)Only II follows 3)Only III follows
4) Only II and III follow 5) None follows

Q2)Statement : Most brokers are shareholders. No shareholder is banker. All bankers are brokers.
Conclusion: I. All brokers are bankers.
II.Some shareholders are brokers.
III.No broker is a shareholder.
1)Only II follows 2)Only I and II follow 3)Only II and III follow 4) Only I and III a follow 5) None follows

Q3)Statement : Some elevators are lifts. Some lifts are staircases. All staircases are hoardings.
Conclusion: I. All hoardings are lifts.
II. Some hoardings are staircases.
III. Some staircases are elevators.

1)Only II follows 2) All the three follow 3)Only II and III follow 4) Only I and III follow 5) None follows


Q4) Statement : All novels are fictions. All poems are novels. All fictions are movies.
Conclusion : I. Some movies are poems.
II.Some poems are movies.
III. Some movies are not fictions.

Hi mac007,

These appear to be Formal Logic questions. Formal Logic is almost never tested on the GMAT, so you really shouldn't be focused on it. Are these questions from an LSAT book?
