Here on first instinct will be to use pronoun where, as it refers to closest noun marketplaces. But its not a place where senior go out and strive

1) where vs in which.. here in which is better than where...
eg it will be better when we say " it was bangalore where i met him " rather than " it was bangalore in which i met him "..
however " mumbai has a market where you get everything " would not be better than " mumbai has a market in which you get everything "..

in which can refer to small place i/o where.

that they find most attractive vs compete for the most attractive assignments

the latter is more concise and clear than former.

Only option E clear both the problems,
