Let R, C be two sets where R is # of ppl having return tickets and C is # of ppl having their car aboard.
Let T be total number of passengers
Then given # of ppl who have ONLY return ticks = 0.6 R
=> # of ppl who have ticks and cars aboard = 0.4 R
but given is that # of ppl having ticks and cars aboard = 20% T = 0.2 T
=> 0.4 R = 0.2 T
=> R/ T = 1/2
=> 50% is the answer..
