Is "Round 2" application that bad?

by helpme4gmat » Wed Oct 14, 2009 12:21 am
Hi Friends and Experts,
Having an experience of 9 years in the software industry I had plans of doing my MBA for which I started preparing for GMAT. But, my study routine got completely distrupted as I had to travel to US for 3 months on project work. Now, I dont know what to do and my GMAT is scheduled for next month and I am not at all prepared. I was initially aiming for Round 1 and I see that as something "unachievable". A lot of people had suggested me to aim for Round 1 as there are more chances of obtaining admission and financial aid. But since I am helpless and cant achieve that now and also in a hurry not in a mood to spoil my GMAT score I just pitched in here to ask what you people feel? Is round 2 that bad as what people feel? If it is, then in what way? What are the disadvantages of applying in Round 2?

Your help is very much appreciated.
Thanks

A Ship sails in one direction, another in opposite....
It is not the wind that decides which direction the ship goes;
Its the sails; how they are tied and how they are maneuvered....

Similarly it is not your fate that decides where your life is going;
It is all about how you take your life and where you take it to....
