I'm interested in earning an MBA at the Columbia Business School and I'm looking to apply for early admission in 2013.

Summary:
GMAT 720
GPA 3.7
work expierence 3.5 years
2 x 6 month internships

I wanted to tell you a little about myself and my accomplishments to see what my chances are of being accepted.

I am an undergraduate student of Economics and Engineering at the University of Economics and Technics in Berlin, Germany with a concentration in Finance. My current GPA is 3.7. I will graduate with a Bachelor of Sciences at the end of November 2013. As a part of my studies I interned in Automotive Consulting for 6 Months and also in Auditing at the Big 4 for 6 Months.

Based on my high Performance, I was able to attend the University of Economics and Technics in Berlin. I was able to shorten my studies by a semester, which I used to study abroad. I was able to explore my passion for Economics and Finance at the University of California, Santa Barbara (USA). I also studied at the University of California, San Diego where I focused more on Business Management Classes.

Before starting my studies, I gained valuable working experience with Daimler AG, Mercedes Benz. During this time, I worked as a mechatronics engineer for automation engineering. This allowed me to develop a high level of analytical thinking and become a resourceful problem solver. I engineered in the Department for 3.5 Years.

Thanks for your help and I really appreciate it.

Hello there good sir!
We don't see many Germans applying to MBA programs (this is good for you) and when they do, they tend to do well (good for you also) :)

With your GMAT, your work experience, GPA, semester abroad, and very big names on your resume, you would have a good shot as Columbia (and have a shot other top schools too, don't be afraid to apply to Harvard, Wharton, Stanford, Booth, MIT, etc....)

I suppose that being an engineer, you don't have all that much leadership experience, and this may be your main weak point, (but it is that of many).

So, I would suggest coming up with an expanded shortlist for your applications (next year, I assume?) and go from there.
