Is a Q48 good?

by exodus7 » Wed Dec 02, 2009 3:33 am
Is a q48 considered good, or is it average, i know it's about an 84 percentile, so that means there are 16% of the people better scoring.

Basically the reason why i'm asking is i'm trying to work on the haas supplemental question, specifically

5. Please identify the course(s) you have taken or intend to take to demonstrate quantitative proficiency. Provide the course name and institution. Beyond courses, please discuss other ways in which you have demonstrated strong quantitative abilities.

and i want to figure out if i can say, hey i got a 48 on math, or is it kind of a weak argument.... as opposed to i got a 49, i got a 50, etc....

Haas wants to see you score above 80% in Quant and you did. That is all you need to prove to them your quant sufficiency. No need to take college math course or waiver exam. The statistic waiver is a different story.

48 is certainly considered strong!
