International Student Loan

by Struufke » Mon Feb 12, 2018 2:26 am
Dear all,

I have just received the happy announcement that I have been accepted to study my Master's degree at a University in Hong Kong. Now, the tuition fee and initial deposit are fairly high, which I won't be able to finance without a student loan. My question here is which international student loan would be most applicable for my situation:
I am currently not in my home country (the Netherlands), as I am writing my thesis while interning abroad.
The Netherlands is not big on large student loans (as tuition fees in the Netherlands are very low).
Hong Kong does not seem to provide much information regarding student loans for international students (any additional information would be much appreciated).

Which leaves me with the idea that I will need an international student loan for international students, with the accompanying high interest rates. Though this would not be a problem, though I would like to ask here for any other options / paths that other students have taken. Or, how their experience has been with certain loans.

Any and all information would be much appreciated.

Best regards
