Hi, I would like to hear any advice into how to improve my speed. Im getting 40Q 30V but I have never finished any complete section. On Quant im getting into the 73min on question 30 and in Verbal on the 73min mark on question 28-30's.
On Quant i take a lot of time on geometry and complex word problems.
On Verbal i take a lot of time on RC and CR.
Any advice appreciated!

Its better to know the test well. GMAT is based on adaptive algorithm so the more you take time and solve the questions the more tougher the next question will be. The more mistakes in a row the more your score drop will be. So if you have reached around 90th percentile by 30th question and then guess every other quant question you might get back to where you started. Nobody can get every question right. So its better to time your questions and make intermittent guesses to spread your mistakes evenly. For quant you have to solve it in 2 mins, if not you should skip/guess and move on.
For verbal
CR < 1.45 mins
SC < 1 min
RC < 2 - 2.5 mins
Use some timing strategy to spread the guesses evenly. Then you will be able to catch up and score better.

Getting defeated is just a temporary notion, giving it up is what makes it permanent.

Can anyone share its timing strategy on the exam. For example for Quant. For questions 1-10 be on the 23min mark, then for 11-20 40min mark, etc. Or something like that?
Thanks!
Thanks!

This is the one i use
Q - 55 30 10 - 10 22 32
V - 55 30 10 - 11 25 36
By 55th minute - you should have completed 10 questions in quant and the rest in that order. Many use different timing strategies. It depends on your comfort level, if you are too slow then you can use more intervals and keep up with them.
