To those who are still in the wait-list, there is still hope!! I did it, I am sure you guys can also.
Many may wonder how I did it, I am here to share my experience and what I did to get admitted.

Nonetheless, it was a very long 6 months to wait, especially when I didn't have any other admission offer from a decent school. When I find out Tepper allows me to submit additional information, I thought I must submit something to increase my chances. I didn't have a high GMAT nor GPA, being on the wait-list confirms that the admission officers must have saw my potential from my experiences, which it is something I can re-address in an additional essay.

Reading through my application and looking back at my experiences, I was confused about what to put on my additional essay, obviously I missed some important factors, otherwise I wouldn't have been placed on the wait-list. Running out of ideas, I asked Stuart from Simply Brilliant for some advice. He was very helpful and thorough in trying to evaluate my strengths and weaknesses in my application, and suggested what part of my goals I should re-address and what part of my experience I should emphasize to add more value to my profile. I can't tell you what you should put on the additional essay, because everyone has a different story, but I can tell you that there must be SOMETHING you can add to strengthen your profile, the couple hundred words from the original application not enough shows your best sides.

I also asked my former mentor in my company to write an additional Letter of Rec as well. I picked someone that would have added a different layer of my personality, as my previous LORs were from my supervisors, a letter from someone I worked with in the daily basis should provide much more details as to what kind of a person I am.

I think the additional essay and LOR made the difference, it gave admission officer a more definite confirmation that I am a good fit in the program.

Good Luck!
