Statement 1:
We know out of \(20\) students, \(12\) are girls, so \(8\) are boys and out of \(12\) girls \(3\) are left handed but we don't know the data for boys. No sufficient \(\Large{\color{red}\chi}\)

Statement 2:
5 boys are left handed but we don't know the total number of boys or girls from this. No sufficient \(\Large{\color{red}\chi}\)

Combining both statements 1 & 2:
Sufficient as it provides all the required data. \(\Large{\color{green}\checkmark}\)
