I'm planning on taking the GMAT in August. How many practice tests should I try to take and at what frequency in my studies? I'm thinking that after I finish my inital Kaplan book, maybe take one every weekend? I see some people take like 6+ practice tests, which seems a little excessive. Any advice?
Also, anyone familiar with GMAT Focus? I saw this on www.mba.com and am not sure if its worth the money? Anyone use it?

For the most part, it depends on you and your preparation. Some people do 3 or 4 cats while others, like myself, do 10. In general, the more problems you have with timing, the more you should take practice cats.

Quality matters more than quantity. Only take adaptive tests. GMATPrep, Princeton Review and Manhattan GMAT are all adaptive. I haven't taken any MGMAT tests, but I've found the other two to be very realistic and worthwhile.
