Lisa,
One of the Harvard essays asks for your three greatest achievements (and why) using only 600 words. I feel like I can't give any level of detail with this question, since I'm only afforded 200 words per accomplishment. I've tightened up my essay as much as I see fit, and I'm still at 626 words. How stringent is the word limit at HBS?

HBS is pretty stringent on word limits, as are most schools. I don't know about the folks at HBS, but I do know at some schools they do not read past the word limit. Perhaps a friend could take a look and suggest where you can make some edits? I agree that 600 words is not much for this essay, but I think you can do it.
Good luck,
Lisa
