Had a tough time with Verbal!!

Hello All. This is Krishna Chaitanya Kalaparti. Last saturday, i gave my GMAT and got a 640(Q 46, V 31).

I was rather confident with the AWA section and finished IR at a good pace too. Quant section took some time, but, i was okay with that.

But, right from the start of the Verbal section, i was not comfortable at all and i can say that there will be atleast 4-5 questions, where in, after clicking an option and pressing Next, i realized that, Hey! That's not the correct answer.

This was my 1st time encounter with the GMAT exam and before that, i took only 1 mock test, with the GMAT Prep, where i managed a 580.

I know that i hadn't put much practice into the Test, relying on whatever i read from the MGMAT Strategy guides and for that too, i didn't spend much time, because of lack of concentration.

I advice all the future aspirants, to learn from this, and stick to a plan, and make a progress realistically, failing which, i feel, the result would be similar to mine.

Now, in my case, i would be glad if anyone guides me in deciding, whether to retake the exam and get some improvement in the score or can i apply to some good colleges, where I can afford the program fee.

I would like to spend not more than 30 Lakh INR(roughly 51000 USD)for my MBA Education.

Expecting personalized opinions.

Thanks in Advance,
Krishna Chaitanya Kalaparti.

I think an online MBA program would be good for you.
