Hi All

I scored 660 in gmat last year and have been preparing to retake the test since then. Could anyone suggest which is the best gmat coaching class in Bangalore. I really need some guidance and would appreciate some sincere advice.

Thanks.

There are these classes called Ivy GMAT in Koramangala. (Above BATA Showroom near Canara bank)
I have heard some interesting things about these classes. There are really high scorers there. and the schedules are known to be tough.

Considering that you have a 660 I infer that you perhaps need more help on Verbal. May I suggest CrackVerbal - www.crackverbal.com - we specialize in GMAT Verbal - that is how specific we get :-)

If you call us we can provide you with a diagnostic test which you can take to assess your performance. We provide a personalized score report and a plan on how to prepare for your second attempt. This is free of cost and our way of contributing to the GMAT Test prep community.

I can also consult you on specific tips over the phone call that may help you strategize your effort this time around. Let us know :)

Hi Sampath, if you have not joined anywhere as yet, would encourage you to visit us at www.EducationAisle.com or call us up.

I see quite a few institutes in Bangalore, offering a complimentary class. I think this is a healthy trend, since attending a demo class at the institutes you might be considering, would help you make an informed decision.

Thanks,
Ashish.

Sandeep from IvyGmat is a fraud and publish fake story. See my email below sent to him sometime back, obviously I didn't heard back from that:
======
Vivek Parashar <[email protected]>, Megha Batra <[email protected]>, Abhilash Joseph <[email protected]>

Sandeep,

I think I have never seen a more questionable testimony than this one on earth. Your students, check the email id above, none of them looks real, vpvickystud, passiontokill, abysince1984 and what not. None of your students score less than 4X in verbal, including the latest of 49, why don't you publish all as 51/51? Any one stops you doing that.

Further, to my earlier attempt of asking for your 800 publicly, you never turned up? No doubt you have done hard work combining material from all sources, but what a cry man, you are shouting through the roof, a 630 person scoring 790 wow, my ears cant see that, my eyes cant hear it.

Well its a secret though, I tried to be a faculty for sometime, and found this csqurl. Pathetic people, pathetic faculty. They wasted my 2-3 months and didn't paid a penny. Their quote is "Noone knows GMAT like we do" and yes they definetly knew it the way they advertise. THis guy Kalyan, the founder, firector ans what not, is a big mouth guy. He talks like all the rule GMAT follow is approved by him. Rashmi is another big mouth. She claims to hold a 770 but the way she talks you never get the grace of the 99th percentile people.

They have their own material for quant/verbal and cover only OG that too only OG-11 not OG-12, where they already knew all the answers, I have seen their material it is not run of a mile. SC is just like any other prep, CR you will never understand a word, and only thing kalyan and company teach in RC is solve SC in 40sec and save those 70*15 i.e. approx 20 min for RC. BTW, Kalyan claims that he can solve a SC in 10 sec and Rashmi a modest 12-15. You can now understand what I meant by the big mouth and not the grace of 99th percentile. No 99th percentile on earth will make such tall claims to solve any SC about 10 sec.

I will not recommend that institute to any one.

Hi Guys,

Last month I started my preparation for GMAT. Meanwhile, I also contacted three coaching centres: csquare, EducationIsle and crack verbal.

I just had telephonic conversations with their representatives. So based on my intuition and inference, I will recommend EducationIsle or crack verbal.

EducationIsle :: Now a days, they are busy on essays and apps.
Crack Verbal :: You can check their site for current schedule of classes.

Also, please don't blindly follow public opinion on GMAT forums. Many coaching centres create hundreds of fake forum ids to promote their business.

Hello Everyone,

The best way to decide is to visit some of the coaching centers close to your home and interact with their expert counselors. Ask all your questions and try to understand if your queries are being addressed well. Also try to seek out testimonials from existing and past students. You can also appear for a mock test with them and see how comfortable you are in your interactions. As for us, you can find more information on the link below:

Hi h409291,

Before investing in any specific GMAT products, it's important to define your goals and timeline/plans.

1) What Business Schools are you planning to apply to Business School (and when?)?
2) What is your goal score?
3) How much time do you think you can put towards your studies in a typical week?

Most Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) on their studies; during that time, a typical week would be 10-15 hours (or more) of GMAT-focused work. Overall, preparing for the GMAT is a big task, but it's comprised of lots of little, manageable pieces.

Whatever course you might go with, make sure that your studies include the use of the Official Guide, which is available in an e-book version, and the GMAT Prep software offered free by GMAC. They both contain actual official GMAT questions, and while some others' questions are close to being duplicates of the real thing, the real thing is still the best indicator of what the questions are like and how well prepared one is to answer them.
