660 - A score that suits me

by mguerreiro001 » Mon Mar 03, 2008 12:21 pm
My story,

My goal was 700... I didn't make it, however, I'm happy.

In October I decided to apply for an MBA. Within a month I took the toefl and scored 100 (out of 120). Uffff! I made the cut for the schools I want to apply. In november I started my preparation for the GMAT. No tutoring, just me and this forum. I bought several books and in the end of december I took the test. I got 620. I insisted! I studied for another 2 months and today I've just got a 660 (84%). I believe my 660 suits me. Now it's all up to my profile. I have good stories to tell and a good work experience. I'm counting on that not to beat the GMAT, but to beat the ADMISSIONS.

I've pressed GMAT's NEXT button too many times. Now, it's time to do new things. NEXT!!!

Thank you all for the support,

Congrats.

I'd kill for that mark.

So far, I have written the exam four times, (pathetic I know) and I can't break 500.

Right now I am taking a Princeton Review Course, and I hope it will help me.

Thank you guys! Go for it!

I believe it's important to take practice tests rather than practice loose exercises.

Do the official guide 11th. The explanations are very good to catch up with 600 world.

The preparation has to be fast and intense. Since I work hard and have family, I incurred in short breaks that in my opinion threw a lot of work away.

This is what I did and that was really worth:

- OG 11th (Leave the diagnostic test to the end)
- Kaplan Premier (I didn't fo the 4 CD tests. I have the feeling that if I had done it I would heve scored +700)
- MGMAT 6 Tests (a must!!!)
- GMATPrep (2 tests)

Take note of your mistakes, review them all, and do all the tests again.

Break a leg people.
