GMAT retake

by gauravhesoyam » Thu Aug 08, 2013 12:55 am
Hi

I gave my GMAT this Tuesday and messed up my verbal section. i scored 610(Q48,V26).
I'm applying for Masters in Management courses this fall. So can you please guide me if I still have chance of getting into LSE,LBS,HEC or Fuqua(MMS) as the are my target schools.

If not then I'll take GMAT again in 2nd week of October. So please guide me how to improve my verbal score in approx 6 weeks. While giving the exam i felt was going fine as the question i was facing were not so easy for me. But I guess the level running throughout the exam must have been low to give me this score. I desperately need some suggestions regarding re-taking the exam. And if yes then how in 6 weeks?

ThankYou

I'd recommend that you retake the GMAT again as your score 610 is too low for getting any good B-school. For improving your verbal score you should do these things:-
1. For RC- practice 5 RC daily keeping a time of 7-8 times per RC.
2. For SC- read the Manhattan books completely and watch Thursdays with Ron. You should read OG thoroughly and see all the explanations even for the wrong answers.
3. For CR- Read Powerscore bible and try to apply methods mentioned. Solve LSAT sets.

All the best for your retake.
