Hello.

Does anyone know if the practice questions in the GMAT Official Guide (Gold book- 11th edition) are in ordered from easy to difficult?

I noticed on the front cover it states " New organization of questions in order of difficulty saves study time."

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I just realized (i didn't finish all the questions though) that it gets kinda harder... But actually I expected the problem solving questions to be much more harder than they are. I am on Question 170 or something now, and it is still pretty basic...!

But still I guess it's not easy to tell you, everbody has a different experience while answering the questions. So you have to find it out by yourself!

Theoretically, yes, they go in order of difficulty. In my opinion, it's just a general order. Certainly, some of the problem solving questions in the upper 100s are still fairly easy. Also, remember that something that is easy for you might be hard for other people, or vice versa.

Still, it's a good general guideline for study.

I agree with Jim - the book progresses approximately in order of difficulty, but I'm fairly certain, comparing the sequence of questions in the 11th edition with that in earlier editions, that this isn't based on the exact difficulty levels that are used in the scoring algorithm or anything similarly precise; it's a more general progression. Still, the end of each section is noticeably more difficult than the beginning or the middle.
