UCLA vs USC - Part time MBA -

by dfordhiraj » Tue May 29, 2012 4:07 pm
hi ,

I got the confirmation from USC. UCLA FEMBA is still pending for next month. GMAT Score : 680, Comp. Engineer 8 + Years Experience (Business / IT Consulting in Manufacturing and Finance Domain.) Good Recommendation letters (CFO / Immediate Boss - Director). 3.8 GPA Score.

At this point, USC has a deadline of 1st June for a non refundable deposit of 1500 $.

It seems like I have no other alternative, other than paying the non refundable deposit, and if the UCLA selection is done, then just forfeit the initial deposit.

Appreciate any suggestions on this topic.

Thanks,
DC

I'm in the same situation that you were in but the deposit is now $2,500. Did you end up paying the $1,500? Did you end up hearing from UCLA? Which school did you end up going to? Are you happy with the program?

I ended up getting accepted from both :-) There is no question which one I chose ;-). And question on Happy ? Well that's the best decision I have made in the last few years. Loving it.

Btw, I did end up paying 1500 $ to USC, which I guess in the grand scheme of things, in not that big a deal.

My suggestion to you would be, if you can wait for confirmation from UCLA and if doesnt materialize, then call USC and see if they agree to have you even after the deadline.
