How good is MGMAT CAT for Verbal?

by skang357 » Mon May 18, 2009 12:01 pm
I'm taking my test this Saturday and doing my GMAT Hell Week right now. (2 or 3 practice tests a day).

Since I'm crunched for time I have the option of either doing the MGMAT CAT'S, the 1000 SC/RC/CR, or OG12 Verbal sections).

I can see that MGMAT CAT + GMATPREP is good for Q. I like how MGMAT gives you good explanations.

But is the V as good as Q for MGMAT? I can't do all of my options and have to stick to one so I wanted to go with the best option. I like MGMAT because it explains things (no explanations with GMATPrep for instance).

What option is best for 5 days of study for Verbal : MGMAT CAT or GMATPREP?

I previously scored 92% in V in my last GMAT.

Regardless of you time constraint, the best study aides for the GMAT are the ones from the GMAC - Official guides and the GMATPrep. So if you have to choose between the Manhattan CAT and GMATPrep, i would suggest you to go ahead with the GMATPrep. Reasons: The questions are real retired gmat questions, the scoring in GMATPrep would be the best indicator of your ability and most of the questions that you'll see in the real test would be similar to the ones in GMATPrep.

Although i have to say that if you want to practice some questions and have already done the GMATPrep many times then the next best option would be the MGMAT practice tests.
