Scientists maintain that emotions evolved in the nervous system and that feelings are the product of the mind.

OPTION A- INCORRECT
'That' is present before emotions and absent before feelings. This makes it seem as if the second clause depends on the first half clause whereas both clauses are independent.

OPTION B- INCORRECT
There is no verb for the subject 'feelings', hence, it doesn't show parallelism with the clause 'emotions' evolved.

OPTION C- CORRECT
This is correct because making use of 'that' before the subject , 'feelings' makes it parallel to the sentence "emotions evolved". Also, both subjects have verbs which makes it better,

OPTION D- INCORRECT
'which' in this sentence modifies 'the conscious mind' making the sentence seem illogical. It also has the same error as Option A.

OPTION E- INCORRECT
There's no verb for the subject 'feeling' and it also have the same issue as option D.
