Essay Writing Tips

Dear MBA Applicants,

Writing MBA essay is one of the crucial and important part of MBA Application. To present a hint of the logical framework that our consultants use to help you build high quality applications, there are few application writing starter tips to light up your creative side into initiation.

1.Identify career objective - The very first and pertinent exercise is to identify your long term career objective (or any other name you want to give to your potential, 20 years from now, goal in life. This objective is going to be the foundation stone and also beacon around which you will build your essays and profile. In following tips, we build your application on this foundation stone.

2.Develop your profile - Once you have identified your career objective, look back and identify all activities in past that link directly or indirectly to the identified objective. Review and polish the description of those activities to fit them in essays as narratives that conclude to your objective.

3.Frame your future plan - Repeat the same for future planning as you did with your past. Tie down all career steps that you want to take in future (MBA is only one important step in this chain of activities) to your career goal/objective. For instance, you should be able to clearly and realistically correlate your activities with your career goal.

By now you will have conceptual clarity on the content of the essays.

4.Writing Essays - Once you get clean picture of how your future objective ties up with your past and future, you can use it to outline your essays. You will realize that this conceptual framework (Past - Present - Future) invariably provides all material you need to write majority of applications essays. Write. Review. Rewrite. The keywords to ensure the success of your essays are clarity and real world pragmatism of your writing.

5.Strive for clarity in essays - The essays are primary communication medium to get your career plan and associated drivers (goals, good qualities, bad qualities, weaknesses, and strengths et al.) to admission committee. Hence, it is of utmost importance that the sentences you write in essays should very clearly convey your plan as a whole. Reread and refine till your ideas are as concise and clear as possible. One of the common psychological pitfalls (due to tremendous boredom of the task) is to get into accepting the absurdness of your sentences. Accept that writing good quality essays is not an easy task and certainly has little recreational value. Make your best effort to clean up any incongruities in paragraphs and sentences. If the essay is making little sense to you, it will certainly be treated like nonsense by the evaluator.

6.Pragmatism in essays - Verify and validate, once again, that your plans/past experiences stated in the essays are absolutely realistic and not only wishful thinking. Realistic implies that your essays must only reflect occurrences that happen in real world. Essay evaluators are immensely experienced lot and can easily assess whether your essay talks about real incidents and happenings or is a poorly imagined story.

For instance, sample of a unrealistic and crippled narration is to showcase yourself as the IT engineer responsible for end to end software applications development. Anybody, remotely related to IT industry, knows that software applications in typical large scale development companies are implemented by a large team and you are possibly a part of that team. So it is advisable to reflect only on your contributions and avoid showing you as the entirety of the project.

We believe that guidelines above will put your thinking process in motion.

Nice tips, thanks a lot! But unfortunately I'm not good at writing, and these tips won't help me a lot. Usually I apply to writing services, such as 123HelpMe, check it here to read their review. This service has attractive prices, and good quality of papers. Not all the services are good enough, so it is better to read some information about them to find a trustworthy one.

Thanks for the tips. Even though I use this site to find examples of essays that are relevant to my topic, it still doesn't always help me in solving my problems. Sometimes I order the work in its entirety, sometimes I use some rephrase service to modify existing text. In general, there are many options that can help those who cannot develop their writing skills.
