How many liters of an acid solution with no salt content should be mixed with 35 liters of a saline solution with 40% salt content to yield a 32% saline solution?

(A) 4.12
(B) 8.75
(C) 18
(D) 35
(E) 43.75

35 L has a saline concentration of 40%. To get to a concentration of 32% it has to be diluted to 43.75 L (inverse relationship).

So 8.75L needs to be added.

Answer is B
