I am looking to restart my GMAT studying (long story; see other post) but I also work a very strenuous full time job in finance.
I am thinking about waking up extremely early in the morning to do my studying, as opposed to doing it every night. Here's my thinking:
- The actual test will be in the morning, so getting my brain prepped to sprint during that time is key
- My brain/attention will be on full blast in the morning and won’t be fatigued by a day’s work
- I will have studied in the morning on days of my Kaplan classes (i.e.- won’t have to sacrifice study for classroom time)
- Won’t have any conflicts in the morning like conferences, lady dates, TV, etc.
- Studying in the morning can also leave nights for more studying or review
Any thoughts or comments on this?

Sounds smart, but definitely not a strategy I would want to do personally! Early morning before work is my dedicated gym time, so I wouldn't give that up for anything.
I do think that a lot probably just depends on personal preference. If you're somebody whose brain works better first thing in the morning, then this is definitely a good plan.

I think it is a good idea. I have done morning studying. If I put it off until later, it is easier to find other things to take my time up with.

Definitely a good idea, especially if your test is happening in the morning. One more related suggestion: try to take your practice GMAT tests at the exact time your real test would begin.
Good luck!

Good to hear those who know about this little better than me approve of this strategy.
I think the key to any study regiment is discipline, discipline, discipline, and this seems like the best way to stay strict.
