All,
Just wrote the GMAT yesterday and scored mere 490( Quant 35,Verbal 23) in fourth attempt.I scored 440,450,460 in earlier attempts.I have been preparing for GMAT for two years. This time I took 8 mock test in last two months and scored in the range of 580( first mock test) to 660 in Manhattan tests and 660 and 750( with some repeats) in official tests.Wanted to seek your imputs whether writing GMAT fifth time will be reflected badly for admission if I do so.Even if I improved my score to my target score of 660.Should I accept this fact that I can not beat the gmat and move ahead in the life
Would really appreciate your advice.
Regards and Thanks

I'm sorry to hear that you're getting frustrated with this test. Outside of the 8 mock tests, how are you studying? Maybe changing your study methods will help improve your score.

Your practice test results suggest that you should be scoring much higher than 490 on your official tests. You may just need to work more on your test-taking skills (e.g., time management and reducing test anxiety). Keep in mind that the GMAT is a test of your math and verbal skills AND it's a test of your test-taking skills.
As for whether or not you should keep studying and pursue your dream: You're the only person who can answer this question. If going to Business School is important to you, then keep working at it.
Cheers,
Brent
Aside: Regarding time management, I suggest that you use a Milestone Chart to keep you on track. This is covered in our free GMAT time management video at https://www.gmatprepnow.com/module/gener ... es?id=1244
We also have a free video that deals with test anxiety: https://www.gmatprepnow.com/module/gener ... es?id=1252

Thanks Idrich 13,Brent for your replies.
Idrich 13-I did the following outside of Mock tests.
1) OG 12,OG 13,Quant review and Verbal review.
2) Powerscore bible for CR
3) Manhattan SC book for SC
4) Advanced GMAT Quant by Manhattan
5) Kaplan 800.
I spent lot of time on review and also maintained a error log.I kept revising the error log every five days.I took all the test in last two months.Surely ,I will have to relook my study methods.
Brent,
Thanks for your video link.I looked at it.I may not be aware that I might have test anxiety on test day.I did not feel any drop in stamina as such.I built the stamina by giving mock tests.
Thanks again for your inputs.
