I wish to give gmat within the next 3months , but then i read about a pattern change in JUNE 2012 .

Moreover i will be utilising the gmat score after three years from now ...
so how disadvantageous is having a three year old score that too on an outdated test format ???

Should i go on and give the test now with the current pattern or wait for the new pattern ???

Well, schools have to accept your score as long as it is within the 5 year period. No question on that.

There are 2 sides to this coin according to me. 1 side, you can have scores from the latest format. But on the other, we don't know how the new pattern is going to affect your capacity to perform in Quant and verbal. What if the new format does not get the best out of you? There can be alternative opinions. This is my view. So I recommend taking it now.
Vineesh,
Just telling you what I know and think. I am not the expert. :)

Thanks a lot for your views :)

I dunno how i might fare in the coming pattern , what i do now is my current status and scores pertaining to the present pattern . I too wanna be done with the test and then carry on to develop other facets of one's profile .
So i guess i will be going ahead with this pattern itself .

Definitely take it now. There is more prep material out for the current format, more advice, more standard. The new format may be to your advantage, but you only have to do that if you do poorly on the current format :)
