Despite Vs Still in Sentence

Despite Vs Still in Sentence

Can both of these be together in one sentence or will that create redundancy.

say like, "despite the warning he still climbed the mountain".

There could be issues of redundancy. Let's see what experts say.

I would have to see the context but I think you could use the two together in the same sentence, especially if the still is there to emphasize that even despite x, he/she still did something...
