but even to that point... i didn't get a sense from anyone that it would be an issue. people are too busy to care about such things.. that's the impression I got

I am very much interested in Yale. My cousin did his MBA in yale . He says it is awesome. I want to go there for a school visit sometime .

Yeah that would be a hard sell! So if you want to go into sales post-mba, that may be great practice haha. Actually that's one of the reasons I don't have a formal visit set up yet... because it's in Hanover. It's so far, I have to take off work for 2/3 days... take the Dartmouth bus from midtown manhattan, which won't be that bad because it's essentially 6 hours on a luxury charter bus with power outlets and free Wifi.

Just gotta figure out the logistics! But that's great that your GF is going to be following you to b-school!

@amazonviper you should definitely get up there and visit. would that be a long trek for you? try to go when classes are in session... not during the summer... oh and bring some cash with you because when you go to the cafeteria you have to pay even if you're on a tour

Did you call the admissions office to set up this visit? I only see the option to schedule for an interview and class visit online.

I emailed them to inquire about other activities occurring that day. I only did this because I was hesitant about taking a 7 hour bus trip and paying for a hotel for 2 nights just to visit a class. I'm not sure why they don't add in all of that other information in the online registration form because it's definitely helpful. But I confirmed that yes all of the rest of the stuff is going on.

Will you be visiting Tuck as well?

I am thinking about visiting.. It could be a pretty costly visit though since I will have to fly, rent a car, and get a hotel.

yeah that's a rough trek. luckily.. www.dartmouthcoach.com which leaves right from the Yale Club about 10 blocks from my work. So I'll be taking that up there... and I have a family member that got me a deal at a hotel up there.

If you do plan to visit, I would suggest staying in a place other than the Hanover Inn because it's like $260/night.

I'm going to update my blog tonight with what has recently transpired re: my trip. But I think I have a great opportunity when I go up there... now if only to score a 710!

I can say without a shadow of a doubt that visiting is looked upon highly!
