Hi everyone,

I've posted in the past back in October and received some great replies. Thanks to those who replied!

Now it's January and after some time to really determine my goal with the MBA, I am getting this year started with being very active in researching potential MBA programs. So far my list includes Carnegie Mellon (Tepper), Duke (Fuqua), Indiana University - Bloomington, UCLA (Anderson), UNC (Kenan-Flagler), UVA (Darden), NYU (Stern), MIT (Sloan), USC (Marshall), University of Maryland (Smith).

After being in Internal Audit for almost 6 years, I plan on going back to get my MBA in Finance and changing careers towards the Strategic Planning / Corporate Strategy career. I have been really considering being in the technology, health care, social media, or staying in the telecom industry. I've considered starting out in the consulting field, like McKinsey, but would rather get involved with this career in the industries I've listed.

I was wondering if anyone here has made a career move to the Strategic Planning field and utilized their MBA degree to make the career change happen. If so, do you have any advice or things they learned from making this change? Also, please let me know if you have any feedback on the list of schools I've mentioned to compliment my MBA goals if possible.

Thanks! Any suggestions/comments would be helpful!
