Dear Aspirant,

Yes, you can do an LLB after the BA degree programme. In fact, every graduate student can pursue LLB with good marks in the graduation degree.

Every institute has different eligibility criteria. For example, my friend did LLB from LPU, and to get admission at LPU in LLB, you should have passed with 50% aggregate marks in Graduation (any stream) or equivalent. Moreover, you should have qualified LPUNEST exam or LSAT.

LPU is ranked 24th among all public and private universities/colleges for the law programmes by NIRF ranking 2021.

LPU’s School of Law is approved by the Bar Council of India.

All the faculty members have well qualified from top ranked universities across the world.

Practical exposure through Moot Courts, District Court, and Legal Aid Clinics visit.

The curriculum is made following the Bar Council of India (BCI) norms.

Workshops/Seminars on computer applications and client interaction is an important aspect of the curriculum

In addition to core curricula, the course offers subjects like communication and soft skills to enhance personality and employability.

The curriculum is designed to facilitate students in preparing for various competitive examinations.

Positions such as Law Officer and Legal Advisors can be explored.

For more details, you may refer to the LPU website.

I hope this helps

The School of Law, governed and regulated by the Bar Council of India (BCI), is one of the best Law colleges in India. The curriculum for all the courses is also determined by BCI. To keep the students on top of the latest trends in the field of law, The School of Law takes initiatives to modify the curriculum as and when the need arises. Students have undergone internships at various High Courts, law firms, law chambers, commissions, corporate houses, and NGOs. The Alumni are working as Judicial officers, Legal practitioners, and Corporate advisors, and Civil servants.
LPU believes that real learning takes place outside the classrooms. Therefore, students are encouraged to supplement their classroom learning by participating in Moot court and debate competitions that are organised for them. LPU Law students have gained recognition in Moot Court competitions held in various parts of the country. The university has also conducted Moot court competitions at a national level.
The department also invites eminent guest lecturers like Advocate Rajiv Kumar, Advocate-On-Record (Supreme Court of India) from the legal field to speak and inspire future lawyers. These guest lectures aim to orient the students with the nitty-gritty of legal discourse.

After receiving a BA, you can pursue LLB. A student must receive 50% or above on their UG exams and achieve a decent percentile on national level exams like the CLAT, LSAT, or exams administered by colleges or universities like the LPUNEST to be eligible for an LLB. The best law schools are NLUs, although some private institutions are also performing well. Hope this is helpful. Thank you!!
