Business Plan Competitions

by Toddius » Thu Jul 07, 2011 11:21 am
Hi,

I'm interested in participating in a business plan competition once I get to B-school. I was wondering about some of the logistics/timing things associated with the plans. Do first and second years both typically compete? Is there time to work on extra-curriculars like this? Is it enjoyable? I'd love to hear about the experience from anyone that has participated.

Thanks in advance.

Absolutely! Business plan competitions are a blast during business school. You'll get the chance to work with your classmates on interesting problems, impress potential employers and even make a few dollars if you win one. You'll definitely be able to make time for them despite the heavy workload of business school. Just about everyone will do one in school.
