Hi Friends,

I am having difficulty in understanding this problem. Please help.

The largest trade-book publisher in the United States has announced the creation of a new digital imprint division, under which it will publish about 20 purely digital works to be sold online as either electronic books ordownloadable copies that can be printed upon purchase.

(A) works to be sold online as either electronic books or

(B) works to sell them online, either as electronic books or

(C) works and it will sell them online as either electronic books or as

(D) works, and selling them online as either electronic books or as

(E) works, and it will sell them online either as electronic books or


OA after some discussions.

(A) works to be sold online as either electronic books or (as missing)

(B) works to sell them online, either as electronic books or
(an additionally as is missing)
(C) works and it will sell them online as either electronic books or as [/color]

(D) works, and selling them online as either electronic books or as

(E) works, and it will sell them online either as electronic books or (an additionally as is missing)

don`t you think that construction in C
as either...or as... is not ||.
better version may be: either as ...or as.
can you share you ideas?

This is how I analysed the answer choices.
A) as either (EB) or (DC)
B) either as (EB) or (DC) {"as" is missing before DC}
C) as either (EB) or as (DC) {"as" is placed before either}
D) as either (EB) or as (DC) {"as" is placed before either} similar to choice C
E) either as (EB) or (DC) {"as" is missing before DC} similar to choice B

The construction should be :
A. ................ either as X or as Y
B. ................ as either X or Y

(B) works to sell them online, either as electronic books or...... INCORRECT "AS" REQUIRED

(C) works and it will sell them online as either electronic books or as...... INCORRECT "AS" NOT REQUIRED

(D) works, and selling them online as either electronic books or as...... INCORRECT "AS" NOT REQUIRED

(E) works, and it will sell them online either as electronic books or...... INCORRECT "AS" REQUIRED
