I just took the quant diagnostic test from the Official guide and literally bombed it.
Something around the following: (furthermore, the ones I did correctly, didn't come easily)
Problem Solving- 10 Correct
Data Sufficiency- 9 Correct
Is it still feasible to reach the high 600s or low 700s in several months? Any people here who had similar experiences and were able to make a huge comeback?
Feeling very frustrated at the moment.

Did you take the Diagnostic after few weeks of preparation or without any preparation?
My advice is to master the individual concepts first. Use can use the MGMAT Guides for this purpose.
Yes it is possible to reach high 600+ score with the right kind of preparation.

I took it with just a little preparation.
I know I shouldn't be comparing the GMAT with the SAT, but when I took the SAT, the Math section was so much easier for me. I'm not sure why this time around the quant section gave me so much trouble.

The diagnostic test is a killer. Don't worry too much about it.
The test is meant to familiarize you with the types of questions found on the GMAT and give you a very approximate idea of your current skills.
If you're like most people, you took the test very early in your studies. So, don't dwell too much on the results of this test. A 600 - 700 score is within reach.
Cheers,
Brent
