Hello everyone,
I've taken the GMAT once and scored a 690. I didn't really even study the verbal and scored in the 99th percentile, but I only hit 55th percentile on the quant.
This seems backwards as I'm an engineer.
I took a few practice tests (the GMAT prep software) and scored over 700 with quant scores somewhere closer to the 75th percentile. I know that I can do better if I take the test again, but I want to give myself the best shot at doing well on the quant so I can hit well over 700. I am sure that I can replicate my score on the verbal.
I don't want to shell out the $750-1k for a prep class, and honestly don't have that much time per week. I have plenty of time before I have to take the test again (3-4 months is where I'm aiming, but I have more if I want) and I only want to take it once more. I know that I struggle more with the data sufficiency questions than the others, but I need practice on all of them.
What books/study materials under $200 would be best for me? If they kind of walk me through how to study this section, that would be helpful. I was looking at the quant books from MGMAT, but are there others that are better?
Thanks in advance.
