Hi Sameer,
Do you've any Essay Analysis for NUS FT-MBA application Essays for this year ? If yes, could you please post the same here so that all of the NUS applicants can benefit from your Essay Analysis ?

If not, then can you please share your feedback how one should approach this Essay : Define what success means to you. (300 words) -- it's a NEW Essay this year in NUS application and seems a pretty broad topic to cover in just 300 words!!

Look forward to hear from you. Much thanks in advance!

RBBmba@2014, if you do a Google search you may find essay analyses on many sites; or these might be about to get updated since this is a new question.

At MBA Crystal Ball, we don't do essay analysis, since we don't see much value in presenting generic and obvious points.

Plus, a one-size-fits-all template doesn't work for essays. In fact, it can backfire if too many applicants start following it and the uniqueness gets completely lost.

In our view, the approach has to be customised based on the strength / weaknesses and life stories of the particular candidate. Would you agree with our thought process?

Hi MG,
Thanks for your prompt reply.

Before posting here, I did Google to find essay analyses for these current NUS essays, but unfortunately nothing as on date, even after roughly 1.5 months after the release of these NEW essays (Please correct me if I've missed any)

It seems , as you've pointed out, they're yet to come up with the analysis (and perhaps NUS doesn't score high on their priority list, unlike top US and European b-schools ).

As for other part of your reply, well I hear you here...However, sent you a PM on this!

Hi MG,
Thank you so much for your response. Will do as you've suggested...I'm just exploring and collecting the relevant stories from different aspects of my profile at present before moving on to next step!

Also, could you please let me know what word limit EXACTLY should we adhere to when schools say that the Essay size should have a "Maximum length - 2 pages, double-spaced" ? (FYR, Texas Mays has this unique criteria)

That's quite straightforward isn't it? Use the narrow/regular page margin on MS-Word; and double-line spacing. Usually they would also specify min font size; if not, use 10 or 11.

Hi MG,
Thanks for your reply and apologies for returning late in the thread. So, I guess, it should be 800-900 words for each Essay!

Thoughts ?

And oh! they've NOT mentioned anything else other than what I've already shared with you.

If they haven't do reach out directly to adcoms to double-check.

Yes, 800-900 words should do it.

Hi Sameer,
After reading your articles on Executive MBA -- https://www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/201 ... -from-iim/ , https://www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/201 ... -programs/ and https://www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/201 ... -in-india/ -- I've the following queries :

1. Like IIM-Lucknow, IIM-Indore also seems to have on-campus/in residence full-time Executive MBA program. Right ?

2. Can you please shed some light on what is average/range of GMAT score for the Executive MBA programs of IIM-Lucknow and IIM-Indore ?

3. Do you've any list of Executive MBA programs across the globe that are EXCLUSIVELY on-campus/in residence full-time program, rather than part-time ?

Would much appreciate your feedback. Much thanks in advance!
