Are Manhattan GMAT Prep available in Egypt?

by ahm » Sat May 30, 2009 1:38 pm
Hi,

Thanks Manhattan representatives for your help.

I live in Egypt. I want to get Manhattan SC, CR, RC, and word translation.
I can not buy them online because shipping cost will be so expensive.
I hope from you to tell me where I can find them here in my country.

I also would like to ask about the difference between prep and strategy guides?

Hope to find help in my requests.

Thanks
AHM

Hi AHM,

Right now, we are not signed to a distributor in Egypt, so the only way you can purchase our books would be through an online retailer or our website.

Also, I'm a bit confused over your question about our prep and strategy guides. Can you post where you saw our guides labeled as "prep guides" so I can better answer your question?

Hi AHM,

Yes, I see what you mean. You should purchase the Strategy Guide, as it's more up-to-date. The prep guide is actually our older edition, whereas the Strategy Guide is a newer edition of our books. However, for the MOST up-to-date version of our guides, you should purchase the 4th Edition:

https://www.amazon.com/Equations-Inequal ... 945&sr=8-5

Unfortunately, Amazon has the bad habit of keeping our older editions on the site when we release new material. If you are ever in doubt, make sure your guide has the seal featured in the image of the guide above.

As for a PDF version of our guide, at this time, we do not electronically distribute our course material due to filesharing concerns. What I can do, though, is follow up with our Operations department to see if there is a less expensive way to ship your guides to you in Egypt. If you could also e-mail me at [email protected] so I can directly correspond with you, that would help quite a bit. I should be able to have an answer for you tomorrow.

Hi ahm,

I just wanted to follow up with you. I haven't received an e-mail and wanted to know if that's because you got the issue resolved. We're currently looking at other shipping options and would like to discuss this further with you over e-mail. My address is [email protected] so just send me a message when you have a chance.

Hi Micheal,
Thanks for the info. I did check with them but they have the 3rd ed. Is there a much of a difference in the 4th edition ..or both are more or less the same?

Hi rajeev4mba,

The good news is that in terms of content, the 3rd Edition and 4th Edition books are exactly the same. What's different, however, is the organization and the OG Problem Set numbering. In terms of organization, Advanced concepts now appear in the back of the book as opposed to the back of individual chapters. As for the OG Problem Set numbering, the 4th Edition books now match up with the questions in the Official Guide 12th edition.

For a more in-depth look at the differences, check out our Fourth Edition page:
https://www.manhattangmat.com/fourth-ed-info.cfm

With that said, I'd still wait to purchase the 4th Edition guides since they are updated for the newest Official Guide. The 4th Edition books are currently available on our store and will be available on Amazon early next week.

I can see you are not aspiring for a higher GMAT score (675 only). I can make you get the maximum in the quant part and help you in verbal part by suggesting good material. If interested pl. contact me.
