Another Resume Question

by mmayad » Tue Oct 07, 2008 5:35 am
Hi all,

I have another couple of questions about the resume. I have used one of the free resume templates given by a mba admission consulting site. I have modified the design somewhat, but I kept the font at 10pt for the text, using one or two line bullet points for accomplishments and 11pt for headings (as in the template). I have also clearly divided the sections of the resume. Will this be too small to read? If I use 12pt font, then I will have to put the resume in 2 pages not one.

Is it better to use two pages and a larger font, or a 10pt and only one page?

Thanks!

Dear mmayad,

It is best to stay at one page and at least 10 pt font. Personally, I am not a fan of the different size fonts for headings, but that is a preference. I think it is best to be at 11 or 12 pt throughout. However, if you are using a font that is generally a little bigger than Times New Roman at the same size, then 10 pt is probably fine. You definitely don't want to have a smaller font size than that though.

Good luck,
Lisa
